Do I need to replace a cracked roof tile right away?
Posted by admin in Tile roofing on 10 22nd, 2009How necessary is it to replace cracked roof tiles (spanish style)? We just bought a house that has a few cracked roof tiles and I want to know if I should do this right away.
Nah, just ignore. It might leak a little but sooner or later the framing will rot & collapse & you won’t notice those little cracks at all. ♠

Posted by admin in Metal roofing materials on 10 15th, 2009The material I got this past week did not come with adequate instructions. I’m looking for a picture where the gable flashing meets the eave trim and drip edge.
From this pdf it’s combining figure 8 and figure 10.

But from what I’m trying to figure out is there still a gap on the top interior side of the gable flashing or is there something I can do to keep the edges very tight.
Real life picture would be awesome
use the butal tape as shown per diagram

Posted by admin in Metal roofing materials on 10 8th, 2009My wife wants metal and I want black paper,tar and stone. You DIYers out there and roofers. We are talking 11×25 and 11×45. Tell me what you would charge me for labor and materials. Lots of answers please.
Spend the money and put a truss roof on it with normal pitch.
New roofing will then last longer and you have less chance of leaks.
Then you can use metal on it.

If you are in the roofing/tiling/construction industry, what time would you need to be at work?
Posted by admin in Tile roofing on 10 1st, 2009I’m chatting with this guy and he says he works in the roofing industry, but he looks pretty free most of the time.
He’s either chatting with me or looking out the window to see if his friends are coming to pick him up to play football.
Does anyone know?
right now i go in at around 430 am and get up at 330 am, im off around 130 or 2pm usually.except at the moment im rain delayed.if hes frr, he might be lying.i know im either working or sleeping except the weekends although im older and need my beauty rest, and it still aint working.
