Replacing the headliner, how easy is it???
I have an '87 Volvo 740GL estate and the headliner is totally trashed,i want to replace it myself as there is no one in my town that re-apolster (sp?)cars.Has anyone had experience in doing this to their car and is it very easy to do?Is the material on a board that attatches to the roof or is is just stuck straight to the metal?
unable to take the plastic supports down as because of the age of the car, they are very fragile and prone to cracking/snapping.
it is usually spray glued to an preformed composite board. You will have to look for the material, then I would reccomend 3m spray adhesive. You will have to take down all of the Plastic/Vinyl trim that leads up to it and helps support it though……Good Luck Ken
