What are these 8 metal(tin?) panels from which came from the roof of an old shed I tore down?

Each of the 8 panels are 3-foot wide by 6-foot 7-inches (79 inches) long.
Six of them have 8, embossed/raised square panels.
Two have 6, embossed/raised rectangle panels.

They are fairly rusted, but use to look galvanized?
Would be over 50 years old.

Are they actually a roofing material from years ago, or for interior walls and, or ceilings?

??Are they worth anything or should I send them to the scrap yard? (I’ve been keeping them around to maybe incorporate them into a remodeling project).

Please advise, as I cannot find this item of this size on a search.

if they are the ceiling tile tins, i’d keep them. they’re making quite a comeback and paying are paying quite a bit for them new.

A picture would have helped. It sounds like you have tin that was used to do ceilings. as for how old they are, tinning has been popular on and off for quite a few years. If you can find out if your area has a dealer of refurbished stuff. You know a shop that sells old windows, iron gates, tubs and the like. If you can’t find one ask a antique dealer, usually they are a tight friendly group and they know who does what in their area. Good luck.

Those have to be worth something, I doubt that anyone is making them anymore. You could have them replated and they’d be really neat on a wall with wooden frames around them. Or you could just paint them, that would look good too. If you paint them, remove as much of the rust as you can, then give them a coating of Rustoleum primer before you apply the final paint.
