What are really modern homes made out of?

I’m talking about the actual house and what material it is made out of like in Grand Ideas with solar panel roofs etc.

junk, toxic junk for the most part. today we are by far the worst, most irresponsible builders who have ever walked the earth, especially in the US.

can't electric cars be self charging by having a wind turbine emblem on the hood and solar cell material roof?

We’ve always pretty much had rock, dirt, and trees to work with, and the same materials are used today to build homes with. I would have to say the most modern innovations so far have to deal with glass, and energy conservation.

For the future, I wonder if the most "modern" homes will be made of architectural fabric that will generate power, insulate, and provide walls and roof, all at the same time. I’m not sure this is developed yet.

However, I also can envision a future where houses look much like in other countries from a few hundred years ago, using earth-based techniques such as adobe, rammed earth, and compressed earth blocks, and topped with living turf roofs. We’re always going to have those kinds of materials readily available, and we might not have much else.
